SAFETY MESSAGE:
Out-of-Service Violations See Significant Improvements
Motor carriers in the United States have done a tremendous job preparing and educating drivers, workers and management for the changes that have accompanied CSA 2010. Your efforts to create new systems and practices to improve safety and ensure that your drivers are compliant are being met with great success and increased profitability to your companies.
The results of your endeavors are demonstrated by the national averages for out-of-service violations. Vehicle, driver and hazmat violations have all decreased significantly since the 2005-2006 summary period.

Reducing out-of-service violations is just one of many benefits of working together to develop a culture of fleet safety. Thank you and congratulations to each of you for your commitment to safety and the improvements that have been made thus far. You have proven to everyone on the road that the motor carrier industry values safety and will always make it our top priority.

Director of Loss Prevention
